Drama workshops to increase access to the arts for young people.
Weeke Community Centre, Winchester
Monday, 4:30 - 5:30pm
Youth Theatre provides free weekly creative arts workshops for 7-11 year olds in the local community. Previously this has involved running acting, singing and dance workshops and a Christmas panto!
Winchester Hub are following goverment guidance and making volunteering COVID safe. Read our COVID safe guidance here.
As a result, Youth Theatre is adapting to bring you online volunteering opportunities in Semester 1! To keep up to date with our COVID guidelines, sign up to our weekly newsletter here.
Students can be involved in one of two ways - planning/writing sessions and delivering sessions to children in the local community. Each involves a commitment around one hour per week and you can be involved with just one or both!
Children and volunteers rehearsing for an upcoming production!
Volunteering for Winchester Hub is super social; we organise our volunteers into teams so this is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people! So why not sign up with a friend?
Youth Theatre is committed to being an inclusive programme, and encourages all students to get involved. All travel expenses are reimbursed and we can make reasonable adjustments to our activities on a case-by-case basis. Please read our safe space policy here.
We also provide ongoing support for the students we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including if you want to disclose a disability or special educational needs, please do get in touch with us at hello@winchesterhub.org and let us know how we can make the activity more accessible.
If you have any more questions, feel free to email us at hello@winchesterhub.org.
Alternatively, get in touch with our student co-ordinators:
