What is Youth Theatre?

Youth Theatre provides free weekly creative arts workshops for 7-11 year olds in the local community. Previously this has involved running acting, singing and dance workshops and a Christmas panto! Sessions are planned and run by students so this is your chance to get creative (no previous experience is necesary).

How does Youth Theatre work?

Students can be involved in one of two ways - planning/writing sessions and delivering sessions to children in the local community. Each involves a commitment around one hour per week and you can be involved with just one or both!

Volunteer with a friend?

Volunteering for Winchester Hub is super social; we organise our volunteers into teams so this is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people; and why not sign up with a friend?

Accessibility

We also provide ongoing support for the students we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including special educational needs, please do get in touch with Helen at hello@winchesterhub.org and let us know how we can make the activity more accessible.

Volunteering with Youth Theatre is flexible around you!

Winchester Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all students. We can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities on a case-by-case basis.
