THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL, YOU WOULD HAVE HAD EMAIL CONFIRMATION IF YOU ARE COMING. WE WILL NOT BE TAKING PEOPLE IN ON THE DAY
During term time, our LinkAges programme sends student volunteers into Winchester weekly to care homes, sheltered housing, and activity centres in the hope that they can tackle social isolation by taking the lonely out of getting old.
But once a year, we get to turn the tables and invite all of our wonderful residents and friends to campus for a fun afternoon. This year it is happening on Wednesday 13th February between 13.00 and 15.00.
If you've volunteered with LinkAges before, we would love your help in running the event, and showing our guests a good time. If you haven't volunteered before and are interested to see what it's all about, we would love for you to join us and have some fun.
There will be afternoon tea for all, a quiz, live music, and just a lot of fun!
** Places are limited to this event, and so we won't have space for people to turn up on the day. Ensure to register for a spot so you can be a part of this wonderful opportunity!**
You don't have to do it alone!
Volunteering for Winchester Hub is social and you'll have the chance to meet many like-minded people, but why not ask a friend to sign up with you too?
Winchester Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all students. We can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, selection workshops, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities on a case-by-case basis.
We also provide ongoing support for the students we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including special educational needs, please do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how we can make the activity more accessible for you.
