Find out about being a coordinator on our amazing student committee!
Main Building Room 116
WE ARE RECRUITING FOR 2018 / 2019 !
We are looking for driven, positive students who are enthusiastic about social impact at the Hub! Read on below for more detail about the student committee or jump into the "Apply" tab above!
Our Student Committee
Roles vary greatly amongst the committee; we have students leading our great projects, an executive team leading the coordinators, and also a highly skilled comms team! The project leaders work independently as well as part of the wider Hub team, to deliver their specific project. This involves helping run student training, keeping on top of their emails and meeting with important community partners e.g. school teachers. The staff team in Winchester is here to support those students and you certainly aren't thrown in the deep end (unless you want a challenge!).
The commitment made by our student committee is more than what a project volunteer is expected to make; it begins with attending a weekly committee meeting which is 1 hour, where everyone comes together to share what they have been up to, and we also run mini training sessions in this time. We also run staff-led training days throughout the academic year to make sure you are best equipped to fulfil your Hub role. You would also be expected to spend 2-3 hours a week in your independent role, however this is likely to vary throughout the year.
To sign up, use the "Apply" tab on THIS page rather than the individual pages for the projects!
For the 2018/2019 academic year we are looking for a new student President. The role of the president is to lead committee meetings, support the coordinators in their projects, and work with the staff team in guiding Winchester Hub. Please email Daniel at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on this role.
We are also currently looking for students to join the various teams that make up our great committee; these include:
Our comms team is responsible for keeping our social media channels up to date, creating new content for our advertising, and leading on volunteer recruitment during term. Also for running our weekly newsletter, The Week!
Our events team put on a fantastic schedule of fundraisers throughout the academic term. In the past we have had Game Cafe's, Book sales, Car washes and much more! The team work to raise money for the Hub and its projects, as well as external charities such as Trinity Homeless Shelter.
If you have any questions don't hesitate in getting in touch with Daniel at email@example.com. It is important for you to know that with the right attitude and drive, experience is not essential for joining Winchester Hub!
We are keen to keep developing our committee so if you think there is room for a new position, project or event we would love to hear from you!
