Winchester Hub is a student-led group offering practical volunteering, skilled placements, project incubation and events. We support you to learn about issues, connect with each other and tackle social problems. Together, we have the power and potential to shape a better world.
We aim to support students to create positive social change in their communities. In order to share and improve how we do this, we are committed to measuring our impact. Please click here to read our 2019-20 impact report.

Winchester Hub was launched in January 2014 in partnership with the University of Winchester, an institution committed to student social action. We are part of the national charity Student Hubs, which was founded in Oxford in 2007 and now has Hubs in universities across the South of England.
Our aim is to mainstream student social action and work with the university and the local community in Winchester to achieve this.
Starting with Schools Plus, Impact International and the Social Impact Internship Programme, we have quickly grown to offer six volunteer projects, regular one-off volunteering days and a range of training, events and campaigns for students to get involved with. Since September 2014, we have also delivered the Try It Awards, providing funding and mentoring for students with social enterprise ideas.
We work with a variety of local partners, such as Winchester City Council, Trinity, and Osborne to run our activities. We are grateful for their ongoing support and glad to be making a bigger impact together. We’re always happy to hear from potential partners. If you’d like to collaborate with us on a project or event, get in touch.
If you’re interested in connecting with our national network of over 30,000 students or would like high quality training for your students and staff, find out more and email firstname.lastname@example.org.
